Sue joined Edwin People, part of The Edwin Group, as Head of Leadership Advisory Services at the end of April, having recently worked as Group Director of Finance & Operations for a MAT in the East of England.  Following time in the commercial sector, Sue began her education sector career in a rural LA maintained primary school, before rapidly progressing into senior MAT leadership.



Sue is experienced in academy conversions, CFO mentoring, and Trust mergers and has professional qualifications in finance and leadership. Growing a Trust from one to five SEND schools in three years, has resulted in Sue developing extensive SEND sector specific knowledge, insight into MAT growth, and a desire to lead and support change in the system. She is experienced in establishing centralised operating models and systems ensuring efficiency and consistency of operations across a Trust. Sue excels at building outstanding and trusted relationships with senior leaders whilst supporting a range of schools and Trusts, adding invaluable capacity, and helping to navigate the complexity of challenges in today's educational landscape.
