Colleagues from specialist settings from across England gathered for a day of discussion, debate and networking this week.  The National Network of Special Schools for School Business Professionals (NNoSS) held its Annual Conference in Birmingham on Thursday.  Powered by Schools North East, NNoSS provides a national community and powerful voice for School Business Professionals working in the specialist sector. Over 120 School Business Professionals from special, hospital and alternative provision settings came to Nottingham to attend the first in-person National Network of Special Schools for School Business Professionals (NNoSS) Conference.


In her opening remarks Pauline Aitchison, Deputy Director of Schools North East and Chair of NNoSS welcomed the delegates saying “We’re delighted to be joined by friends and colleagues today, this is a great network built by the fabulous members” before noting how the network has grown over the 18 months since it was launched and thanking the members for their hard work and commitment.

The inaugural National Network of Special Schools for School Business Professionals (NNoSS) conference was held virtually, due to the Covid pandemic.  The conference was a great success with keynote speakers who focussed on motivation and energising the attendees as they go into their final push towards the end of term.

I think it's fantastic that we finally have our own national network
